standing over boiling pasta would set me off every single time, id have to hand the spoon off and go stand in the open freezer while dinner did whatever it wanted. most of the way through july now and ive cooked every night this week with the stove going, nothing. still keep the cool gel in the fridge door out of habit.
my body always took an hour longer than my brain to call it a night, legs twitchy, flipping the pillow every couple minutes. a month in and im usually asleep before the dog settles at the end of the bed.

I have thrown out so many collagen tubs that made my coffee taste like a hoof. This one does nothing to the taste, one scoop and you would never know its in there. Im in menopause and my nails used to peel at the corners, around the two month mark they firmed up and my skin looks a bit springier too. Will keep buying.
didnt fancy spending the foundation chapter googling which five supplements to take and at what dose, so getting the whole ritual in one go sorted that. my midwife had no notes on the folate form, which was the bit i actually cared about.
got the whole second spring bundle because buying menopause stuff one piece at a time got old fast. the daytime flashes were the worst of it, id go red in a meeting and just have to wait it out, and after five or six weeks theyre a lot less frequent. knocking a star because i never reach for the body cream that comes in it, so im basically paying for a piece i dont use. the capsules and the gel are the parts earning their keep.
my sister put me onto this, she kept telling me to start something in the Foundation chapter instead of waiting and i brushed it off cause maca sounded like a wellness fad to me. its two capsules in the morning, no powder to choke down, and the 3pm slump i used to hit is mostly gone. wish id listened to her sooner.
mornings were the worst part of my day, id be dragging till 10 before i felt like a person and the kids would already be late. on this about ten weeks now and i get up and im just sort of ON, which is a bizarre thing to type out. its a morning a midday and a night thing so theres stuff to keep track of, but i havent wanted to quit yet, which for me says a lot.
gave these the full three months like the bottle nags you to and the postpartum shed finally calmed down, with little baby hairs coming in at my temples. they clump together in the bottle which bugs me, but the passion fruit taste means i actually remember to take them.
not exciting but it does the job. ive been on it about four months and i feel steadier through the day, not getting the random energy dips i used to get mid afternoon. capsule is a fine size, goes down easy with breakfast. its the boring backbone of my routine and i mean that as a compliment.
